Mary and I motored to Cape Lookout.  Leaving Morehead City Channel, Mary was at
the helm.  There was a large ship coming in toward us that eventually crossed
the channel and was heading directly for us.  We switched sides of the channel
as the vessel stopped.  It turned out to be a dredge.  Once at Cape Lookout, we
took the dingy to shore and walked the beach.  I managed to shear the pin on the
shallow water coming into shore.  We managed to piece it back together enough to
get us back to Annabelle.  It was a beautiful day to be there.  Sunny, temps in
the 50's.  The wind has built from the North to 18-20 kts, so we were able to
sail about half way back.  This was Mary's first sail and we were healed at 20º
making 6.8kts SOG.  She loved it, although she started feeling queasy.  We
dropped the sails and motored back to Beaufort.  She's hooked on sailing!

David, Mary and the cats are headed back to Oriental.  It is a clear blue sky
day with the temperature in the 50's, wind is 12 kts W.  The main water tank has
started leaking.  It soaked the hall carpet, so we have it out on the deck to
dry.  Mary is enjoying the swing.
